Inez de Greef elected as fellow of the Netherlands Academy of Engineering

We are thrilled to announce that Inez de Greef, CEO of Treeway and co-founder and Managing Partner of 3D-PharmXchange, has been elected as a fellow of the Netherlands Academy of Engineering (NAE). The NAE brings together top experts in technological sciences and applied research and development from scientific, governmental, and industrial organizations.

About the NAE

The NAE stands at the forefront of technological innovation and applied research. Similar to other institutions worldwide, such as the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) and the German National Academy of Science and Engineering (Acatech), NAE serves as a vital network of engineers. These academies play a pivotal role in advancing their respective countries’ technological landscapes.

NAE is not only a national institution but also a global representative of Dutch engineering expertise. As a member of the European Council of Academies of Applied Sciences, Technologies, and Engineering and the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences, NAE collaborates on the international stage. This allows NAE to represent the Netherlands globally and translate valuable foreign insights into the Dutch context.

Significant contributions to the field

Inez has extensive leadership experience within the pharma and biotech industry and she has made remarkable contributions to the field of drug development. Her dedication to finding solutions for ALS and Alzheimer’s disease patients is evident in her pivotal role in the development of various drugs. She has demonstrated exceptional leadership by successfully managing clinical and PK-PD projects in therapeutic areas such as HIV, diabetes, oncology, urology, and CNS-related diseases for international pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Based on her deep knowledge of the different elements of drug development, she is keen to drive multidisciplinary efforts at the interface between science and business for the benefit of patients. Inez is always on the lookout for the potential for collaboration and synergy, effectively liaising between pharma/biotech, knowledge institutes, and public organizations.

This recognition by the NAE is a testament to Inez’s significant impact on drug development. Both 3D-pharmXchange and Treeway take immense pride in Inez’s achievements.

Inauguration

The festive inauguration of all 62 fellows will take place at De Nieuwe Kerk in The Hague on Monday, November 13th, 2023.
